Theatre Burlington is searching for new scripts to showcase in the 2027 Playtime Festival. We are looking for original scripts from local playwrights.

Criteria:

• Must be 8-10 minutes long (1200-1500 words)
• No more than four characters.
• Any genre.
• Playwrights must be local to Halton, Hamilton, Wellington County, Niagara Falls and Brant County.
• No identifiers on the script as successful submissions are chosen blindly.
• Keep in mind minimal set. We provide one table and four chairs. Exceptions to this are pre-approved by the Producer.
• Deadline for submissions is January 17, 2027 midnight.
• Submit as many as you wish.

Scripts submissions will be reviewed by a committee.  If a script is selected for performance, you will be contacted by a Theatre Burlington representative.
