Theatre Burlington is searching for new scripts to showcase in our 2026 Playtime Festival.  We are looking for original scripts from local playwrights. 

Scripts should be 8-10 minutes in length, have no more than four characters, and should have a minimal set (one table, four chairs).

Preference will be given to writers who are part of our catchment (Brant, Wellington, Halton, Peel, Niagara) and who can provide their own directors and actors.

To eliminate possible biases, please do not include identifying information in the script itself.

Scripts should be submitted by January 4th, 2026.

Theatre Burlington is committed to showcasing Canadian artists.  If you are a local playwright, you can now submit your scripts for the chance to have your play showcased in one of our stellar season lineups. 

Scripts submissions will be reviewed by a committee.  If a script is selected for performance, you will be contacted by a Theatre Burlington representative.
