About Us
Celebrating Over 70 Years of Community Theatre Excellence
We are a community theatre founded in 1952 by a small group of enthusiasts and have grown to be a staple in the Burlington community, demonstrating theatre excellence, as noted by several notable theatre reviewers, and contributing to many local and national charities. Starting off our 50th season, Burlington Little Theatre Inc. adopted the operating name of Theatre Burlington to reflect our adaptiveness as our community theatre landscape changed. Our season’s playbill still consists of four major full length productions, including a play especially for children.
Theatre Burlington’s well maintained performance space is at the Drama Centre in Central Park on New Street, behind the Music Centre. It was designed and built specifically to meet the requirements of the theatre group in conjunction with the Burlington Department of Recreation.
It houses a full size stage and a small, well equipped and comfortable auditorium for the presentation of our main stage plays. In 1991 we built a lighting and sound control booth or mezzanine across the back of the auditorium. We have recently added LED lighting and new dimmers.
The Centre has an attractive Green Room, scenery, storage, costumes & props rooms, kitchen and printing room. It provides a top notch facility for activities and can be enjoyed by other groups. Many local groups / schools rent our facilities and use our space for rehearsals, performances and video productions. We are proud to maintain our very high standard of productions and be part of the very active Arts Scene in beautiful Burlington.

Our Mission
To create exceptional community theatre that inspires, entertains, and brings people together through shared stories and local talent.
Who We Are
Founded in 1952 by a passionate group of local theatre lovers, Theatre Burlington has grown into one of the region’s most respected community theatre companies. Originally known as Burlington Little Theatre Inc., we embraced the name Theatre Burlington in our 50th season to reflect our evolving role in a thriving arts community. For over 70 years, we've remained volunteer-driven and artistically ambitious — proudly creating live theatre that brings people together.
What We Do

Each season, we present four full-length productions, including one specifically for young audiences. Our performances take place at the Drama Centre in Central Park — a purpose-built facility featuring a full-sized stage, intimate auditorium, green room, costume and prop areas, and professional-grade lighting and sound.
We also support the broader arts community by making our venue available for rehearsals, school productions, and film shoots. Whether on stage or behind the scenes, we’re dedicated to delivering high-quality, heartfelt theatre and contributing to Burlington’s vibrant cultural life.
