“How Could You, Mrs. Dick?”
by Douglas Rodger
Directed by Matthew Willson, Produced by Julie Donoahue
Based on a true Hamilton Story!
How Could You, Mrs. Dick? follows the rise and scrutiny of Evelyn Dick, a woman at the center of a sensationalized public scandal. As reporters attempt to uncover the truth, Evelyn becomes both subject and spectacle, her story unfolding through a series of interviews, recollections, and conflicting perspectives. Charismatic, complex, and fiercely self-possessed, she navigates the blurred line between truth and perception as those around her attempt to define her. At its core, the play explores the making of a public figure—and the cost of being at the center of it.
